Monotonous

Life's getting monotonous. Never better, but monotonous.

Maybe this is what you call "the simple life". If so, I can't imagine how you'd want to live life like this every single day.

It's driving me barking mad.

Blogging straight from office now, so I have totally no pictures for you guys today.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Changes.

Been thinking a lot about everything recently. And this is what I found out during one of my musings on my way to work.

Changes.

People are afraid of changes.

Let me ask you this. What if one day you were to leave your current comfortable life now and step into a changed world? Or maybe your life isn't all that comfortable, but at least it's something you already know and are used to.

What if you were to take a step away from a world that you knew?

Maybe to work in a foreign land, to change jobs, to study overseas, to change schools, to migrate, to change your significant other, or even to get married.

Would you take that step?

There's this friend of mine, name withheld to protect his identity, he grew up overseas in different countries. He's now based here on our tiny little dot. As a result of having lived elsewhere for so long, he's developed this accent, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

Friends of ours keep making fun of him and his accent when he's not around. I have to admit, even I myself find the things they say funny.

But think about it in-depth. Why, though? He's just being him, why can't we be more tolerant? (Unless, of course, we're talking about a buck-toothed rabbit (inside joke, sorry), then it's ok to make fun of him.) From there I got to thinking. Why are we doing this to someone who's different from us?

Is it because he's different, and that we feel intimidated by him?

Is it?

He took the step into a world unknown. Be it for whatever reasons that I've stated above, he took the step.

Are you brave enough to take that step?

I know I'm not.

Pak Tor Day

You won't believe where Lazychoo and I went for our pak-tor day last week.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

A park. Ang Mo Kio park, to be exact. We're old-fashioned, you say?

Well, we pass by the Ang Mo Kio park everyday on our way to work. And everyday I notice some patches of pink at the pond area. So last Saturday, I made Lazychoo bring me to the park to check out the pond (and to look for saga seeds which my aunt said were there).

And this is what we found.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Woah!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Granted, the flowers were a little wilty, but they were still beautiful.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I haven't been seeing the lotus flowers peek out through the bushes at me while passing by recently, so I'm guessing it might be out of the season for lotus flowers already.

Anyway, after we finished wow-ing at the lotus pond, we went in search of the saga seeds. Okay, so pretty much of it was me dragging Lazychoo to look for them.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Our first close up standing up. Our height difference doesn't permit us to have too close a close up.

Being the really lazy Lazychoo, Lazychoo balked at the foot of the stairs.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
"Really ah?"

Suprisingly, we reached the top within 5 minutes. Panting and sweating, nonetheless conquered!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We searched the whole park. Not one saga seed was to be found. Darn.

Oh well,

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

At least I have my photos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While we're on the subject of lovey-dovey pak-tor-ing, here are some lovey-dovey photos.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Taken on the night we messed around with Jackson's phone, this new Samsung phone that feels more like a card. It's so very thin that it's got to the point of being fragile.

Cute phone though. Loads of cute novelty functions, like taking photos like the one we took.

More lovegety photos!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Taken at timezone, of which 5 minutes later Lazychoo added another addition to our family.

He caught this.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Not much to look at, but it's damn cute. There's a hidden button on it's left hand that when pressed, the cheeks (on the face, not elsewhere) will light up and blink. So cute!

Jenn's 21st birthday

We spent my AUNTIE Jennifer's 21st birthday at my grandma's house.

We had a very sumptuous dinner of different sorts of crabs (chilli crabs, butter crabs, the likes) and grandma's deep fried goodies in addition to grandma urging everyone to "eat more, eat more", so all of us were pretty much stuffed after the meal.

Then the maid brought out this huge-assed cake,

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

.. and we were like, WTF?! We can't eat no more!

But anyways, like the semi grown-ups we all were (including my grandmother), we all had fun singing the birthday song for Jenn.

Photo taking with the cake!

Autumn Photos

Long overdue, I know. I don't care. I don't have much time either. I'll just make this quick.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Us trying to make a replica of what we did last year:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

.. except this year we did it using all our names combined.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This was what happened last year,

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And the same thing happened this year.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Anthony and WeiJun messing around with cooking wax in a can. Notice Anthony's new hairstyle.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The ah peks in one corner.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The boiling wax,

Lanterns we brought. I had a nagging suspicion that I bought the wrong lanterns for the wrong occasion.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Darryl being sweet and helping me maintain the lanterns.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Everybody wanting to take photos with my lanterns.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And this is what the boiling wax was for:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

When the wax boils, some dude (usually WeiJun) would spit into it and a huge flash fire would appear. After they ran out of spit, they used water from the reservoir instead.

After we had no more wax to feed the can, Darryl taught us how to make rockets.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

His was perfect, shooting straight off. Most of the other's didn't even lift off. Mine was like a UFO, lifting off slowly. Ha.

Darn, guess I ran out of time. Be back next time with photos of Jenn's 21st birthday.

Jazzyme; 信 8:13 PM.

I hate this.

It's getting to me.

I said I DON'T WANT TO GO OUT EVERYDAY. I've said it many times. I WANT TO GO HOME!

Because Lazychoo sends me to work everyday, I spend Sundays to Thursdays overnight at his place. Fridays and Saturdays are for my place. But somehow, I can never get to stay at home and do what I want to do (except sleep) for more than ten minutes.

Finally I get some time to myself alone at home this evening, so I tried to edit and resize my pictures with what little time I had.

Mom calls. Lazychoo calls. Mom talks a lot. Lazychoo says he's coming to pick me up to go out (yet) again.

I almost smashed my own phone when mom kept talking about certain things. Mom came home. Knocks on the door to talk to me. I was curt. She asked why. I almost cried when I told her how I felt.

After that I felt so guilty about being curt with her, coupled up with the helpless feeling of wanting to be at home and have some time for myself but can't, I started sobbing at my computer table.

I can't take this anymore.

What's wrong with wanting some time on my own?

But I was smiling when I cried.

Thanks honey. I love you.

Lazychoo's in office doing OT

So guess what I'm going to do. *grins*

Bro Vik's birthday was on the 6th of October. We met up for a small dinner outing at Adam Road.

Here's Alan and Vik trying to act gay,

copying the previous brokeback mountain photo posted in SBF:

Round that table..

After we shifted to the dam, things went out of control.

I'm Back!

Yes! After this little hiatus from the normal crappy picturblogging me, I'm back! Just for the weekend though. Meeting Lazychoo everyday after work has left me little quality time with my computer.

First, all the old photos I took to post but didn't.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Directly after my accident. My left wrist's ligament almost tore. I dumped the heavy bandages though, now wearing just a wrist guard when it hurts.

However, I suspect I tore my nerves when my left knee landed on the floor. The wounds have healed but the entire area is still numb. Anyone knows what I can do? I've already iced it, thanks for the tip, FJ.

*edited* Why yes, that IS Roger in the picture with me and Lazychoo. You got a problem with it?

After Lazychoo's CBR929 came back from the workshop, we set about removing the stickers on the metal parts on the bike.

The other stickers on the fairings were already removed when they repainted the bike, so only the big SHIFT was left.

So anyway, this is where the SHIFT is positioned.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
For want of a better picture..

Sorry but that's the only picture I could find with the SHIFT still intact.

Anyway, while taking it out I kind of messed with the stickers. I noticed that when you take out the F, the letters could be rearranged to form..

Flashback

Not celebrating our anniversary has always been and will always be a lasting tear in my heart.

Flashback the argument.

Flashback the unwillingness to talk.

Flashback the opening of presents and being unhappy because you thought I slammed the present down.

Flashback the less time spent alone together than with other friends.

Flashback the tears.

Flashback the blood.

I spent weeks on your present.

I wanted to open the bottle of ice-wine I stored in my cupboard specially for this occasion.

I wanted to make love all night long.

I wanted us to share every single moment we could together because I wanted it to be special.

Now all I want to do is to pound my chest and hit my head and cry.

Thanks for the memories.

Flashback of you treating me nicer than ever before way after our anniversary.

Flashback of us dancing in the wind.

Who have I become?

Confusion

So let me slip away..

Maybe I still don't know you well enough.

You're not who I thought you were.

It's all deception. It's all a front to keep me happy. Are you who you really are?

I read through all his old blog posts. And I find them disturbing.

Disturbing thoughts and disturbing beliefs.

We seem happy. We feel happy. When we're together we're so full of love. But what do you feel when you're alone? How're you supposed to feel?

I feel depressed, in a way that nothing can help.

It's not you. It's me. It's the masochist in me who refuse to let me be happy.

He said the person you marry will never be the person you want the most. It scares me.

What scares me more is that I believe in it too.

I always wanted to be the one that people want the most. Which can only mean one thing.

And the sad thing is that I already AM one. The one he wants the most. Twice.

And the sad fact is that I actually understood why he married her.

And the weirdest thing is I forgive him.

I forgive you.

Just get out of my life and be happy with yours.

Nothing... Nothing can erase the images in my head. Nothing can erase these thoughts. Nothing can erase what I already know. Nothing can erase you.

Thoughts. Thoughts. More thoughts.

Leave my mind alone.

Crazy Talk

"Vik's birthday. 7.30pm Adam Road Food Centre tonight."

"Girl, I can't confirm with you, need to wait for camp to call."

"Aww. You poor thing. *snickers* Awww."

"You kuku."

"I don't have a kuku. I like kukus though, big big ones."

"... You're one of the horniest girl I've ever met. Haha."

"You mean you don't already know?"

"...."

In a mess

A great big mess.

Ups and Downs.
Ins and Outs.
Confusion and Certainty.
Elated and Depressed.
Positive and Negative.
Optimistic and Pessimistic.
Chaos and Order.
Annoyed and Delighted.
In Love and....
Still so in Love.

Then again.. what is love anyway? Do you know? Debate with me.

I don't know who I am anymore.

I need to sort this out. I need to find out who I truly am.

Thanks for listening.

First things first

This is for all three of you who nodded against me in the typical Singaporean way when all you know is typical Singaporean slang.

For you, having a rope attached to your waist and being lowered from somewhere is pronounced as repelling (pronounced as re-pel). For the rest of the world, however,

rap*pel [ra-pel, ruh-] verb, -pelled, -pel*ling. -noun
1.
(in mountaineering) the act or method of moving down a steep incline or past an overhang by means of a double rope secured above and placed around the body, usually under the left thigh and over the right shoulder, and paid out gradually in the descent. -verb (used without object)
2.
to descend by means of a rappel.

I hate it when people don't believe what I say. Even more so when the other person from across the table agrees with the first, and yet another person whom I don't know well nods in agreement.

Don't believe whatever I say then. Continue wallowing in your own ignorance.
