Symphony 92.4fmIt's like the most boring radio station ever, but I'm in a very relaxed mood so today is relax-radio-station day.
Updates: Work's good, organisation, eh, not so good.
But I'm still keeping it up. Bah.
Should I, or should I not go for yoga classes? Or piano classes first? Or ballroom dancing classes first? Saxophone classes? Guitar, even. Then again, I feel like going for an artistic photoshoot before my looks and figure (what figure?) goes.
I know I'm already busy like mad, but ... I want to be... busier. The abyss inside of me has been somewhat filled, but as with any hole you dig, it can never be fully filled back.
Let's see what happens when I squeeze in more dirt.

Jee.
http://www.englishforums.com/English/BetterStillBetterYet/dvppp/post.htm"... "Better still" and "Better yet" are both used idiomatically to mean "Even better than what was just discussed." There will be a lot of chocolate at my birthday party, and

This is just in case you didn't catch my MSN message proclaiming that I WIN.

Somebody Please Get Me This!
Please please pretty pretty please? I'll be your best friend forever, I promise!
Isn't he the sexiest thing alive? No wait, technically, he's not alive. And technically, he's only sexy when he wasn't so fat. So if you do get Elvis posters for me, make sure they're not the before-he-died fat ones.
I'm gonna plaster his face all over the kitchen when I get my own house in future. Set him in wallpaper with a 1970's streets at night background, red booth seats and black marble counter-tops. There'll be 6R photos of his (slim) face in black photo frames hanging along the walls and spotlights trained on the one life-sized Elvis cast in wallpaper.
Elvis in 1970's rock for my kitchen, and Audrey Hepburn in 1950's sophistication for my living room. Wheeeee~!

The Absolute Worst Feeling EverHave you ever felt the absolute worst feeling ever?
If you can only pick one example, which would you pick?
I'll give you 5 minutes to think.
.....
....
...
..
Got it?
What did you think about? Share with me. I'd like to know.
For me, the absolute worst feeling ever is when I get a fresh new ice-cream cone, and after one or two licks, the ice-cream topples off the cone and falls in an excruciatingly slow fashion to the ground, and I am left with an empty cone with droplets of melted ice-cream still in my hand.
You're excited about the chocolate/vanilla/peppermint/strawberry ice-cream, and how it's going to feel when you slide your tongue up its side, and how it's going to feel inside your tummy-ummy-ummy. And after the first few licks, when it didn't even make a difference inside your tummy, the damn thing topples off.
And while the falling ice-cream is still in mid-air, there's just too many mixed feelings to deal with. You know you have the ability to catch it in mid-air like a tennis ball, and yet you
know it is
not a tennis ball, and if you catch it with your hand it's won't do you any good either because you can't eat it anymore. And yet watching it fall to the ground is such a waste...
Then there is absolutely no point in eating the empty biscuit cone (although I know some of you enjoy the biscuit) without having the ice-cream to eat it with.
You know you can always buy a new one, but one is already wasted, so the feeling of eating it won't be as
shiok as having the original one. So you give up on the idea of buying a new one and think about the melted one on the floor for the rest of the day.

That, is my absolute worst feeling
ever.

SmellsAs the breeze wafts past, pausing only to tease my face, I could
smell him.
I don't know who, but it seemed incredibly familiar, it seemed like home. I turned and searched for the source.
Some old Japanese dude. Bah.
C.K Crave. Hugo Boss. Aigner, even.
This smell meant fun. This guy with this smell told jokes to make me laugh, or even played childishly with me.
This smell meant business, but with a tinge of cheeky, because that guy with that smell wore wacky-tacky ties to work on Mondays.
Hugo Boss meant a dark, mysterious aura mixed with Hokkein songs in an empty restaurant filled with colours wafting around us. Hugo Boss also meant pretty much 70% of the male population in SG.
It's annoying when people buy the most popular perfumes/colognes because suddenly you feel them everywhere (because that smell is everywhere).
So people, please buy the smaller and not-so-popular brands if you have to use them. It's easier to identify and to remember.
Now if I can only remember who it is....

RandomI haven't shown you my office now, have I?

That's my seat, and my cuddly lamb cushion which keeps me warm. I got a window seat at last~!Window seats come in handy when you have an incredible headache or are stressed out.
This is my boss, looking blur after I told him not to give a face when I first took his picture.

Riders, does he look familiar to you?
And this is what happens when there are only two people in an office and both are smokers.

And here's my partner for the NAEF2008

Jean's shy, lah.
Apparently we're colleagues in Genesis yadda yadda yadda company, he's the Director of something-something and I'm the Chief something Officer of something-something. That's all I'm allowed to say.
Let me see, what other totally random picture do I have lying in my picture folder?

Please Call This NumberAnd blast the fish paste out of this guy.
He sent me an SMS at midnight yesterday. Here's what the conversation (if you can call it that) looks like:
+65
82818315"
Can meet"
Being the ultra-nice me, I gave him the benefit of the doubt because it might be any of my friends
who likes to change their mobile number without informing *ahem*Frankie*ahem*Eric*ahem*
"
Who is this?"
"
Yaowei"
Sounds familiar, and just to make sure, I replied.
""
I don't know who you are"
"
Then can meet anot"
How incredibly rude!
Since he likes meeting up so much, please pass this number to all insurance agents, MLM marketeers, credit card telemarketeers, churchies-who-wants-to-"save souls", or any other annoyances you can think of.
And to the person who passed my number along, if I know who you are, I will smash your phone upon sight, understand?
I have strict rules about phone calls and sms-es, and revealing of phone numbers is right up there on the number 1 spot. Do NOT under any circumstances reveal my phone number to anyone else without explicit permission directly from me, or this will happen to you.

Kapeesh?
Jazzyme; 信 3:20 PM.
T.NWhen did you stop being my friend and started treating me like pestilence?
You're arrogant. You've never really changed but you're different. I know there never will be a need for you to come to me if you need help, but just for the record -
I won't be there anymore.
Enjoy your new life.

Deftones - Knife PartyFor those in the know, this is the one. For those not in the know, this is probably the only song in existance that gets me so high I nearly come in my pants just by listening to this, most of the time.
This is obviously an anyhow-mixed video, because their actual MTV is way to offensive (not to mention disturbing) to post here.
So turn up your volume (and I do mean way up. Maximum will do just fine), click play, lie back and close your eyes. See the ups and downs in colours and images. Feel the music ripple across your body.
Let the colours of the electrics waft into your head and linger like an aroma. Let the screams engulf you. Feel your entire being relax and drift into the sounds.
I hope the lyrics help, too.

Y.Entrepreneur - Evening 2.0
That's me being spunky at Evening 2.0 after a long day at NAEF2008 (with 2 hours of sleep the previous night before, no less).
It was a great evening of networking and making friends with our host, my mentor
Edwin Toh.
Y.Entrepreneur's Evening 2.0 was hosted at Beer Station microbrewery located at Gillman Village (did I get the name wrong?), serving great Czech beer and awesome food.

I met a lot of young entrepreneurs there and great people.
Blogstar's Black Strawberries was there too, which made the evening all the more enjoyable because they were quite a young and fun group.
For some reason I find the name "Black Strawberries" funny
Jazzy, Edwin and Wilson as the registration teamOn top of being part of the registration volunteer team, I doubled up as the part-time photographer at night. Apparently, many people remember me as "that girl with the camera hopping about" that night.

This should be Peng, if I remember correctly
All of the Black Strawberries, for obvious reasons, appeared in black. They were friendly and spunky and also for obvious reasons, stayed in a group.
The one in the middle is Sarnie. The girl on the right says he looks like Rain. Who is Rain anyway? Our speaker of the night was
Dr. James Leong, creator of "NLP Worldwide eGroup". He is one of the more amazing guys I've met, and his acquaintance is a must-have. Check out what he does at
http://www.masternlpcoach.com/
Dr. James is a very animated and captivative speaker, never losing his audience's attention for a second. The topics he covered were quite interesting too. For example, did you know that Henry Ford created one of his first creations using wrecked airplane parts (or something like that)?
Essentially, the message he wanted to put across was to never give up, even if you have nothing, because great things come to those who take the first step forward.

Personally, I think what he does is fantastic, because he doesn't
give people ideas to be creative,
instead he uses a kind of hypnotherapy to open up a person's sub-conscious creative mind, which essentially means helping a person to be creative himself.
He also holds classes for people intending to become practitioners, to help even more people, which I think is an awesome idea.
Go check him out. Like
NOW.
Here comes the random snapping of pictures for random people.

Our stand-in emcee for the night,
Derek Ng of TeamWerx. He looks a little bit like
Julian Hee, minus the body-build (*drools over the website I just attached*).

That's Lucas Goh beside Derek, of
Agel, a network marketing company. He was also part of the volunteer team at Evening 2.0

Lucas is a very motivated individual who, along with his business mind, makes for a good online MSN kaki when bored at work.

And that's
Wendy, also part of the volunteer team, of
Star Creations. She's living her dream of being her own boss, teaching people the thing she loves to do - handicrafts. Which is pretty darn cool, because I like it too, and I'm very tempted to take up her class but for the fact that I don't even have time for myself now, much less classes.

That's
Wilson Ang in the middle, who also happens to be my partner at the registration desk. He is the president of
Environmental Challenge Organisation (ECO), and a very good friend to have. Despite us having hit it off so easily, I regard him as a mentor and highly respect him and value his friendship.
ECO has pretty much the same values as my upcoming organisation - To change the world. Not just to make a difference, but the freaking change it. Check out what he's doing at

Very, very friendly people. All in all, it was a great night out. I hope to attend more of these parties soon.

It's Just...I have never been happier since Lazy gave the green light to have my own friends a few days ago.
I have never been happier to have met my boss, my dear SL friends, the good people from the Y.Entrepreneurs, and some assortments from online.
I have never been happier rushing from place to place to meet contacts who are vital to my upcoming organisation.
I have never been happier to have people to turn to when I needed an ear (or a few fingers on the keyboard).
I have never been busier occupying myself with my job, my upcoming organisation and the assorted weird part-time lobangs I occasionally get.
It's just..
I have never been lonelier too.
I wonder why.

I'm So TiredHow do I begin recounting the madness crammed into these few days?
There was something I had to rush out for work on Monday night, and by the time I finished it was 4am.
Woke up at 6.30am and was on my feet for 17 hours yesterday, attending the NAEF2008 (
Nomura Asia Equity Forum) during the day and helping out with Edwin and his dinner party for his new business launch at night.
The NAEF2008 is something of a 4 consecutive days deal of which I had to attend every single damn day and every single damn session (if they could split me up they would've sent me to every single damn talk) and apparently, I am not allowed by "my company" to disclose anything else. So. Yay.
Edwin's dinner party yesterday was fun, I met a lot of people, but I wasn't feeling comfortable because I only slept for 2 hours the night before and I looked like SHIT.
4 hours of sleep yesterday. Same convention again today. And yes, I still look like shit. I'm so tired I can't think straight to write straight.
Photos of Edwin's dinner party will be up as soon as I feel up to editing the photos and detailing the night. In the meantime, let me just get the NAEF2008 out of the way before I go crazy.

Powerful WordsThis is my white brother, Rycel/Onn/Onnions/Shut Up La/Mr Wong or my personal favourite, Onn-aahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Also my mom's favourite god-son.
I was with this dude for some fresh air mixed with smoke on Monday, and for the first time, he was actually serious during the conversation. He told me lots of things about what's happening around him and such, made me feel I could open up to him.
He was one of the first I opened up to on this particularly sensitive topic. I'd thought he'd either take it as a joke or even reprimand me, but he didn't. Instead, he looked at me straight in the eye and said something that struck a chord in me.
"Jasmine, no matter what your decision is, as a friend, I will support you no matter what."
These words might seem ordinary to you, but to me they meant 9 years of friendship (filled with turmoil) that is so totally worth it. Nobody has ever said that to me before and it really warms me to know that I have such a friend.
Thanks bro. You complete my life.
