Random Peektures
My girls.
This was taken at Seletar, where Lazy, cookie and I spent two hours of our lives combing the entire area on bike to look for the Sunset bar and grill, which boasted great buffalo wings.
One Seletar. Two Hours. Three Bikes. 50 kilometres (I counted on my bike). We met at 8pm, and rounded til about 9+ when we met a friendly ang moh(caucasian), who offered to take us there after he finishes walking his dog, if we were still lost.
Obviously we were, so he pilloned with cookie without a helmet and directed us there. By the time we got there, the place was closed, so we dropped off the guy on his doorstep and pretended we were in some English country.
By the way, Sunset bar and grill's buffalo wings, not worth the two hours. Hot, as, hell, and we were only on level 3 out of 30. I was going to cry already, while cookie said it was just a little bit spicy.
It was quite expensive too, about $15+ for half a dozen wings, $18+ for prawn fritters with calamari and a whopping $20++ for steak that was frozen (no blood).
It was an outdoorsy kind of place, complete with your average garden variety of BUGS that wouldn't leave you alone (they had to put a mosquitoe coil under every table), the occasional splash of rain, and the food wasn't THAT great (ok, the calamari was nice, but it loses to Spizza's calamari).
However, the view was great. There was a plane passing by going into the airfield, and it passed quite near to the bar area. The sunset wasn't too shabby too, considering it was an overcast day. Imagine what the sunset would've looked like on a clear day!
Credit due, it was a nice place, and I was awfully sick, so maybe I didn't have a good impression.
I'll try again next time when I'm not so sick.
