Monotonous
Life's getting monotonous. Never better, but monotonous.
Maybe this is what you call "the simple life". If so, I can't imagine how you'd want to live life like this every single day.
It's driving me barking mad.
Blogging straight from office now, so I have totally no pictures for you guys today.

Changes.
Been thinking a lot about everything recently. And this is what I found out during one of my musings on my way to work.
Changes.
People are afraid of changes.
Let me ask you this. What if one day you were to leave your current comfortable life now and step into a changed world? Or maybe your life isn't all that comfortable, but at least it's something you already know and are used to.
What if you were to take a step away from a world that you knew?
Maybe to work in a foreign land, to change jobs, to study overseas, to change schools, to migrate, to change your significant other, or even to get married.
Would you take that step?
There's this friend of mine, name withheld to protect his identity, he grew up overseas in different countries. He's now based here on our tiny little dot. As a result of having lived elsewhere for so long, he's developed this accent, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
Friends of ours keep making fun of him and his accent when he's not around. I have to admit, even I myself find the things they say funny.
But think about it in-depth. Why, though? He's just being him, why can't we be more tolerant? (Unless, of course, we're talking about a buck-toothed rabbit (inside joke, sorry), then it's ok to make fun of him.) From there I got to thinking. Why are we doing this to someone who's different from us?
Is it because he's different, and that we feel intimidated by him?
Is it?
He took the step into a world unknown. Be it for whatever reasons that I've stated above, he took the step.
Are you brave enough to take that step?
I know I'm not.

Pak Tor Day
You won't believe where Lazychoo and I went for our pak-tor day last week.
A park. Ang Mo Kio park, to be exact. We're old-fashioned, you say?
Well, we pass by the Ang Mo Kio park everyday on our way to work. And everyday I notice some patches of pink at the pond area. So last Saturday, I made Lazychoo bring me to the park to check out the pond (and to look for saga seeds which my aunt said were there).
And this is what we found.
Woah!
Granted, the flowers were a little wilty, but they were still beautiful.
I haven't been seeing the lotus flowers peek out through the bushes at me while passing by recently, so I'm guessing it might be out of the season for lotus flowers already.
Anyway, after we finished wow-ing at the lotus pond, we went in search of the saga seeds. Okay, so pretty much of it was me dragging Lazychoo to look for them.
Our first close up standing up. Our height difference doesn't permit us to have too close a close up.
Being the really lazy Lazychoo, Lazychoo balked at the foot of the stairs.
"Really ah?"
Suprisingly, we reached the top within 5 minutes. Panting and sweating, nonetheless conquered!
We searched the whole park. Not one saga seed was to be found. Darn.
Oh well,
At least I have my photos.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While we're on the subject of lovey-dovey pak-tor-ing, here are some lovey-dovey photos.
Taken on the night we messed around with Jackson's phone, this new Samsung phone that feels more like a card. It's so very thin that it's got to the point of being fragile.
Cute phone though. Loads of cute novelty functions, like taking photos like the one we took.
More lovegety photos!
Taken at timezone, of which 5 minutes later Lazychoo added another addition to our family.
He caught this.
Not much to look at, but it's damn cute. There's a hidden button on it's left hand that when pressed, the cheeks (on the face, not elsewhere) will light up and blink. So cute!

Jenn's 21st birthday
We spent my AUNTIE Jennifer's 21st birthday at my grandma's house.
We had a very sumptuous dinner of different sorts of crabs (chilli crabs, butter crabs, the likes) and grandma's deep fried goodies in addition to grandma urging everyone to "eat more, eat more", so all of us were pretty much stuffed after the meal.
Then the maid brought out this huge-assed cake,
.. and we were like, WTF?! We can't eat no more!
But anyways, like the semi grown-ups we all were (including my grandmother), we all had fun singing the birthday song for Jenn.
Photo taking with the cake!
The two couples,
The two daughters hiding behind their mama to try to look smaller than they really are,
Mel and Jenn.
Like cutting wedding cake like that. Reminds me of someone else who spent his 21st birthday cutting the cake like this together with his then girlfriend.
Grandmama and Jenn.
Making a wish,
Contaminating the cake,
.. And then murdering it.

Autumn Photos
Long overdue, I know. I don't care. I don't have much time either. I'll just make this quick.
Us trying to make a replica of what we did last year:
.. except this year we did it using all our names combined.
This was what happened last year,
And the same thing happened this year.
Anthony and WeiJun messing around with cooking wax in a can. Notice Anthony's new hairstyle.
The ah peks in one corner.
The boiling wax,
Lanterns we brought. I had a nagging suspicion that I bought the wrong lanterns for the wrong occasion.
Darryl being sweet and helping me maintain the lanterns.
Everybody wanting to take photos with my lanterns.
And this is what the boiling wax was for:
When the wax boils, some dude (usually WeiJun) would spit into it and a huge flash fire would appear. After they ran out of spit, they used water from the reservoir instead.
After we had no more wax to feed the can, Darryl taught us how to make rockets.
His was perfect, shooting straight off. Most of the other's didn't even lift off. Mine was like a UFO, lifting off slowly. Ha.
Darn, guess I ran out of time. Be back next time with photos of Jenn's 21st birthday.

I hate this.
It's getting to me.
I said I DON'T WANT TO GO OUT EVERYDAY. I've said it many times. I WANT TO GO HOME!
Because Lazychoo sends me to work everyday, I spend Sundays to Thursdays overnight at his place. Fridays and Saturdays are for my place. But somehow, I can never get to stay at home and do what I want to do (except sleep) for more than ten minutes.
Finally I get some time to myself alone at home this evening, so I tried to edit and resize my pictures with what little time I had.
Mom calls. Lazychoo calls. Mom talks a lot. Lazychoo says he's coming to pick me up to go out (yet) again.
I almost smashed my own phone when mom kept talking about certain things. Mom came home. Knocks on the door to talk to me. I was curt. She asked why. I almost cried when I told her how I felt.
After that I felt so guilty about being curt with her, coupled up with the helpless feeling of wanting to be at home and have some time for myself but can't, I started sobbing at my computer table.
I can't take this anymore.
What's wrong with wanting some time on my own?

Lazychoo's in office doing OT
So guess what I'm going to do. *grins*
Bro Vik's birthday was on the 6th of October. We met up for a small dinner outing at Adam Road.
Here's Alan and Vik trying to act gay,
copying the previous brokeback mountain photo posted in SBF:
Round that table..
Vik, Zeke, Dannis and some dude.
After we shifted to the dam, things went out of control.
I seriously don't know what the heck they're trying to do.
The gayest pose they could muster.
A phantom hand molested Vik.
Yay!
Jackson's finger got magically glues to Vik's nipple.
Poor Jin Han, who got into an accident a couple of days ago.
The lantern we found abandoned by the roadside.
Zeke's '06 RS125 acting as a table for Vik's cake.
The most coolest and expansive table there is.
I just had to put the candle there.
Vik getting bullied by us.
We didn't get any presents for him, so Vik demanded a kiddy ride from Lazychoo.
A sweet picture of Alan and his wife.
Those boys who will always be boys playing with sparklers.
And CS,
..who was originally smiling nicely but changed expression immediately when Jackson grabbed his balls.
WaHey~!
As a present for everyone else, here's something to spoil your day.
