Steamboat Birthday Bash
Like last year and every year, my birthday falls directly in the middle of Anthony and Roger. Roger's 26 years old on the 23rd of January, I'm 20 on the 26th, and Anthony's 20 on the 31st.
And also like last year, we had a birthday bash. Not a very big bash, more of a small affair concerning steamboat at Anthony's and a couple of friends from the wholivesnearyou bike thread.
Setting out, that would be Lazychoo in a bus.
And Anthony.
Checking out the Superman.
Why must I take pictures of Lazychoo and Anthony in a bus?
Because it's damn hard to get them to take buses together. Much less Roger, who has two bikes and a car.
We were on our way to get the groceries for the steamboat. But upon reaching Northpoint and meeting up with Daniel and CS, we headed immediately for the arcade, where Lazychoo won this:
Elvis Stitch Presley
On the first try. The indian family oohed and aahed at his spoil so much that we roughly figured that they've been trying for the same Stitch for quite some time now.
Here's Anthony cajoling Lazychoo to be violent,
And afterward getting quite violent himself.
Daniel and CS watching the violent show.
They just can't get enough of games, can they?
Naruto met up with us after the arcade session, and took the bus back to Anthony's house together with us.
Happy Naruto.
So we went back and messed around until most of the people arrived.
What's this?
Here's a picture of the dining table all set up nicely, waiting for the steamboat..
..which just so happens to have this damn scary face in the way of the view.
Lazychoo and a couple of the guys happily sat down and chatted while the rest of us got real busy. But nothing could keep them away a few minutes later when we started nagging at them to help out.
Ladies and gentlemen(ladies especially), this is a sight to behold! For the first time ever,
Guys who help out in the kitchen! Not one, not two, not three, but FIVE! (Anthony was busy mixing the drinks) Yours truly also helped out too. By being the resident photographer, because resident photographers don't have to get their hands all wet.
Lazychoo has skill.
This is a picture of the laid out table without the scary face in between the camera and the table.
Our combined presents,
Just minus away the shoe boxes.
Atom Ant
Princess Jasmine
Roger Rabbit
Anthony's trying to look taller than both of us. If he stood normally we'd create a Do-Re-Mi effect.
We're da CREW!!!
We got the shirts together while shopping with Anthony the other day. Anthony bought it for Roger as his birthday present, and we all conspired to freak him out, so we were clad in a jacket when he arrived, up to the point where he opened his present. Then all the Supermen and Superwomen came out.
Anyways, Roger got so freaked out he started acting cute.
Roger was in a great big rush because he had to go back to work, so before he left, we did the blowing of the candles and the cutting of the cake together.
This is not polygamy. That is not a wedding cake.
After Roger left we all just kind of hung around and watched TV while Anthony's brother Michael murdered the remaining food.
Yay~
There was supposed to be a rounding session after the steamboat, but we all ditched the idea after Anthony brought out the Martell. Lazychoo and Daniel went back to get Lazychoo's bottle of Chivas, while the rest of us trudged out into the cold, cold night to buy snacks and titbits to munch while watching DVD.
We all survived the first DVD, some KO-ed during the second, and by the third the only surviving ones were Lazychoo and I.
It was fun. Not the way I had imagined, but fun.

Prawn Fishing Family Outing
When Mom asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what I wanted, except for everyone to be as happy as they can be.
Our discussion led to our childhood, and soon we settled for one of my favourite childhood pastimes.
Prawn fishing.
Here's me the great big camwhore,
And here's a picture of my sister's ass,
Hi, Sis!
She is so going to kill me for that.
We finally arrived at the Jurong fishing pond after a series of unfortunate incidents following a feast of a dinner.
At the fish pond, we found many uncles standing in the same position.
Maybe when you stand like this all the female prawns will find you attractive and flock to you.
So my very own uncle decided to monkey-see-monkey-do.
And YAY!
We caught one!
After awhile it got too much for the restless Lazychoo to bear, so he started imitating the signboard at the road when we entered the area.
My sister went all around the area to look for prawns, but had no luck either.
While yours truly lounged around the area and did what she does best: Camwhore.
Oei, feet also can camwhore one hor.
Thanks to Mom and Dad who made this outing possible,
And to this wee little frog who kena bullied by both me and my sister. Thanks for taking a bit of the boredom away!
So at the end of the day, due to the floods in Malaysia they had a very limited supply of prawns. Which justifies the fact that we only caught this one miserable little prawn that's still sitting in my freezer now.

Reflections
Don't mind me, it's just birthday depression.
Today I am 20 years old.
Over the past year I have..
... done nothing worth mentioning this way.
And for the coming year I shall...
... do more things!

First Pet Outing for the Year
I know this is like, 4 days overdue but what the heck, right?
Friend of mine, April, just came back from Newcastle not long ago. Her parrot, Hiccups, a rose breasted cuckatoo or what most people call, a galah, was to be imported from there as well. Hiccups had to be quarantined before entering Singapore, just like any other animals have to be when entering the country.
We were all quite worried about Hiccups, given that we all don't know how the airport staff are going to handle him and he might be scared in the cold and dark airport for a few weeks.
When Hiccups finally came back, we organised an outing for him, along with some of the nice people at MOP (although some idiots turned up as well)(especially that fat annoying bitch).
Lazychoo drove his van back especially for this outing.
Here's Peaches in his carrier on the way to ECP where the outing was,
At the outing we got to meet some very nice people from MOP
That's Yuffie in the middle.
The thing about going to pet outings is that you get to see a lot of pets that you don't normally see on the streets, not to mention bring your own pets out for a walk in the sun.
This handsome chap is the MOP mascot. His name is Tyson.
This is Professor. He professes in stealing almonds from the snack container.
This is Tracy being bullied yet again by me.
This is the star of the show, Hiccups.
You looking at me?
Here's Dating having a sip of Yuffie's smoothie. Why Dating? Simple. Yuffie's real name is Ting. And her boyfriend's name is YiDa. So take Da + Ting = DaTing!
So lomantic~
Here's my Cash looking grumpy because of the irritating kids who were touching her tail (she hates that).
Overall shots..

Mind Games
You know the thing about meeting up with people you haven't met in years and years is that when you do meet them, you realize how much you've grown up through those years.
Last night I met up with Fabian, Hansheng and the ex-coach of Maris Stella High.
I got to know them back when I was still in primary school. My primary school's girls' basketball team and their school's boys' team were on very good terms, so good that we'd go and cheer for each other's games even if it did not concern us at all.
But anyway, Fabian and Hansheng were the seniors of the boys' team. I got to know them when a couple of the boys from the team decided to get to know a couple of girls from my team better (myself not included, I just tagged alone for the heck of it).
I got on better with these two than with the boys from the team, so after we all seperated we still maintained an online connection (which wasn't very strong, come to think of it).
Anyhow, last week Hansheng/Patrick/Han/Pat Pat told me online that they were meeting up this week. And for unexplained reasons (meaning I don't want to talk about it) I decided to go. Which afterwards, looking back, I think was a great decision.
We met at Minds Cafe with me being late because I got lost for half an hour, and rounded the place looking for a place to park for another half an hour.
Minds cafe is a place where you actually pay to sit inside, enjoy the not-so-cooling air-con because of the cramped space and... play games.
They provide all sorts of board games. Whatever you can think of, they have it,. They also have lots of really inconspicuous games that nobody has ever heard of before, and the staff are all knowledgable enough to explain every single one, perhaps even introduce a new game to you.
Playing games with people you feel awkward with is a definate ice-breaker. After the first 10 minutes all inhabitations were lost as we indulged in childish games like Pictionary, some-game-that-looks-and-sounds-like-bluff-but-has-funny-looking-cards and some-game-that-involves grabbing-a-stick (oooh!).
Fabian and Mr Soo (the ex-Marist coach),
Playing the Pictionary game,
Hansheng and I,
Taking his other side because "the previous one looks fat",
Camwhore buddies.
Well, that was fun. Try it sometime. Minds cafe, on the second storey of Crab Word restaurant, Boat Quay.
