Maybe..
I found out something today.
But I guess I'll just let nature run it's course and then maybe time will reveal it's secrets.
Maybe I shouldn't be blogging so much about Lazy.
Then again, maybe I shouldn't care so much, seeing as this blog's for myself, my friends and the people who care about me.
I love you readers.

A Romantic Evening
In an effort to improve our relationship by a milestone, we've both taken a step towards becoming alcoholics.
In a good way of course.
Did you know that a bottle of wine can only get us two glasses each? That's VERY little.
Lazy and I had some dinner before that, and got this..
Not hard to guess where they came from, aye?
Anyway, Shrek ears aside, we finally opened the expensive bottle Lazy got at the DFS from his China trip.
Merlot de France
Just imagine.. Dim lights. A bottle of wine. A good movie about wine. Throw in snacks and a good cigar, and voila!
Snacks nearly finished by the Lazy.
And a small cigar.
Instant romance.
Not everyone gets to do this, you know.
So what's the next romantic movie we should watch on Romance Night with wine? We tried Chilean Chianti last night, and Lazy wants to try a South African cabernet savignon the next time, so we're only undecided on the movie choice.
Some help please?

Attention Mayday Fans!
Attention! Attention!
Fun fact of the day: Did you know that premium seating for the Mayday concert sold out within a week they released the tickets?
And I happen to have three of these.
One for the crazy Mayday fan that is JazzyME, one for Lazychoo, and one for our not-so-crazy Mayday fan CS.
Problem is, something else's cropped up for CS, and he couldn't attend this concert. So now, he's letting go of his ticket to the lucky winner who happens to call first!
Tickets bought at $130, he's willing to let go at $100. And as an added privilege for my readers, I'm subsidizing 10 measly bucks for readers who get the tickets through my blog. Which means you pay him $90 and I swipe his $10.
$90 for a premium Mayday ticket plus the chance to sit next to me! Any takers?
Promotion ends 2nd June. Which is the day of the concert itself.
So hurry! Either call me if you have my number, or call Lazychoo at 94879127 (you can also call this number if you're looking for an IT technician that charges reasonable prices), SMS, MSN, PM, whatever form of contact you like, as long as it reaches before Saturday.

Alexander
Uncle Alex got into an unfortunate accident last week, and he's been in hospital since last Monday.
His thigh bone was smashed straight through his pelvis bone, and so now..
... a metal pole is inserted through his leg and weights are attached to the harness which is attached to metal pole. It's function was to pull his thigh bone away from his smashed pelvis, but from what I see it's merely another torture device there solely for the purpose of entertaining the doctors and nurses.
Lazy and I and a whole host of other friends have been visiting him. I have become his Marish, and Lazy has become his part-time leg massager.
Uncle Lexie is having his operation to insert a metal plate into his pelvic bone tomorrow at 10am.
Everyone please help me pray for him.

The Black Devil
The black devil has been chasing me for our photo, and since I found out how to transfer stuff from my phone into the computer today, nah!
Taken when he went shopping with me for a present for my Lazy.
My black devil Aprilian brother. Whose bike has been in the workshop accompanying mine for quite some time now. Bwahahahaha~!

My black devil Aprilian brother. Whose bike has been in the workshop accompanying mine for quite some time now. Bwahahahaha~!
Now that most of the photos have been posted
... here comes the miscellenous photos post.
Where to start, where to start?
Oh well, right in the middle of nowhere's the best place to start, isn't it?
Well, most of these pictures came from god-knows-when, but they're confirmed taken somewhere during my little hiatus.
Like little Stitch there, caught on the first try at Suntec city's top floor arcade.
Which when added to my collection of stuffed toys Lazy's caught for me,
... looks just perfect!
Because Lazy spoilt his phone (very long story), he borrowed his mom's phone to use and then complained that it didn't have any of our photos. So we went on a rampage and took a LOT of photos.
And I'm being selfish and only showing these two.
My very handsome Lazy took me to PS and the Cathay the other day. We found this shop in a corner of the Cathay called Clique, a contemporary modern lifestyle shop that's got cuban art, cookbooks, spices, clothes, hats, underwear, lifestyle books, abstract jewellery, and even a little bar area that serves food and very good prices.
If you guys are ever in the Cathay, go take a look around. You might just find surprising things you'd like in there.
We got tired and hungry after awhile and went back to PS for our lunch/dinner. Lazy received a phone call about work again on our Sunday together.
Now people, what did I say about calling Lazy about work during his off time? Lazy and I have precious little time to spend together when we're not working, so please do not disturb us even when your computer has exploded and is melting right in front of your eyes.
Kena disturbed.
Kapeesh?

Mother's Day 2007
The Tan family's Mother's Day
Le mommas.
The Tan family's mother's day was celebrated with a buffet at one of my aunt's place. Most of the Tan mothers were there including my own mom.
My momma.
My cheeky cousin,
And my handsome boy.
The Tan family mommas including the mommas' momma, my grandmomma.
The Lim family's Mother's Day
A couple of days after the actual mother's day, we had another dinner for my maternal relatives.
We went to Turf City's Ah Yat seafood restaurant!
I love it when Lazy smiles like that.
Photographer for the night, Cudas.
Ok people, tell me, which photo is better? Which one captures a better angle? Cudas and I were arguing about who has better photography skills, so we need a judge.
Or
Comments please!
My mother's brother, uncle Charlie and his family,
Grandmama and my aunt Jennifer and their respective companions,
My cute mama,
And I.
After awhile it became a sort of a camwhore-while-you-eat session.
My teo little cousins, Xinyi and Yuxin.
Xinyi.
We were trying to make uncle Charlie feel like a lucky man, but as with the case of many girls surrounding a guy, he feels damn awkward.
The Lim family.
The Choo Choo and the Tan Tan.
The obligatory group photo,
And a very rare photo of my family together.

Jurong Bird Park Trip
Guess where we went a day before Mother's day?
Our first trip to JBP!
My camera is awesome.
Here's Lazy with his favourite morning drink.
The very first bird we saw before even entering the Bird Park,
After getting the tickets and passing through the entrance, the first exhibit we saw on our right was the penguin exhibit.
And just to double confirm that it was the penguin exhibit,
A rare sight: Men checking maps.
Not easy to get a shot of them in the water but being such a skilled photographer as yours truly is, I got it!
The dude who refused to move from his spot the entire time we were there.
The views in JBP were breathtaking.
The colours were so vivid, the enclosure perfect for photo-shots, it's like a photographer's haven.
Except that I'm not even an amateur photographer with my 2.1 megapixel Canon Digital Ixus 300. It's somewhat of an old chunky model, but I very much prefer it to the newer and smaller models because somehow, my 2.1 megapixels are so much clearer than their above 4 megalixels. Either that or I'm going blind.
Seriously, resizing the pictures is not doing any justice to the original majesty of the colours too.
Here we are at the birds of prey exhibit,
Which I find pathetically small for the birds because they only have a perch and a big pan of water and very little space to move around.
Birds of prey are supposed to have ample space to soar around.
This is an obligatory photo of a bald eagle, the majextis symbol of America,
Not very bald leh.
A very cool looking sea falcon, one of my favourites,
And a very sweet, very cute malay fish owl, or bubo ketupa ketupa.
Why is it so intriguing? Because for every visitor that passes by it's enclosure, it lets out a high pitch "haaa" that sounds incredibly like a woman squealing in delight. It sounds very soft and contented.
Very sweet.
We found a couple of big birds along the way, and couldn't resist camwhoring.
Gawd I'm getting fat.
Believe it or not, this bird was at least 700 metres away from me and I still got this great shot. Bow down to me!
The flamingo pool.
And the pelican pool.
A couple of these dudes were flying around and landing on treetops overhead too. Awesome sight.
What's this doing in the pelican pool?
A close up...
And there was no more photo-taking until we reached the parrot enclosures (camera battery low-batt lah).
I'm not good at identifying birds so you guys will have to forgive me if I get their names wrong.
A Hahn's Macaw,
This, I'm guessing, a White Bellied Caique?
This is definarely a Hawk Headed Parrot. They're cool.
A Blue Fronted Amazon, maybe?
Looks like Ringnecks to me. Are they Ringnecks?
Now here's the hard part. I seriously don't know what they are but I'm already in love with them.
They look fierce, are a little bit bigger than my African Grey, but they have a great personality. Very sweet temperament, and quite responsive to my voice. They stood by the cage as if wanting me to touch them, and they look famished. They kept poking around on the floor to look for things to eat.
Somebody please tell me what they are and whether we can keep them as pets!
The following little dude is not much to look at, but I took it inside the waterfall area where they are free flying.
He just landed right in front of me and I was trying to be as still as possible to take this photo, which was quite hard seeing as the other visitors were walking around behind me.
The makings of a wildlife photographer!
And inside that waterfall area there was a refreshment area selling drinks and sandwiches.
Believe me, you DO NOT want to buy ANYTHING from there.
Lazy says it's ok occasionally, and we enjoyed ourselves, so it's ok.
These are Emus,
Who came to the side of the enclosure, so close that we could've touched them. This proves that a lot of visitors were feeding them. I caught a couple feeding the parrots popcorn at the parrot enclosure too.
Anyways I forgot what the heck this is except that it's supposed to be exceptionally fierce.
And Ostriches.
This is supposedly the biggest breed of eagle.
Darn ugly.
Lazy feeling scared on the bridge at Lory Loft.
At $2 a pop for some watery cereal that the birds don't really want (that I have a whole bottle of at home from Cash's handfeeding days), it's daylight robbery. Thank goodness we had no change.
Lazy got chased by this cheeky little fella and decides that the park has too many of these.
Our last stop was the World of Darkness, where because of our lousy cameras, we got only one photo. We could turn on the flash for the pictures, but it'd hurt the owls' eyes, so being the considerate Singaporeans we stopped taking photos. Couldn't say the same the the indian family in front of us though. Wish I could smash their faces in.
Snowy owls! Hegrid!
A little more photo-taking and camwhoring before we go...
And then it was good bye.
We walked over to the crocodile farm opposite in hopes that it was still open, but it wasn't.
Oh well.
It was a very enjoyable trip though, I wished the day could've lasted longer.
So ends the JBP trip. Next trip, Night Safari!
