Weird happenings

Been having weird dreams lately. Of people I've haven't seen in like, oh, forever. I dreamt of this guy whom I used to be with, and in my dream we were young again. He was still that blur boy I once knew.

Then I dreamt of this other person, whom I totally had not contacted with for like.. 7 years. I dreamt that... sshh! Can't tell you.

Anyway, what was weird was that today I saw that guy. We nodded in recognition, but I can see that he's struggling to remember who I am. Not that it's easy to remember who I was, I've changed a LOT since then.

And what made my blood boil was that when I browsed through his profile in friendster, I recognised his girlfriend. Dammit! How can this be? I know her! I hated her!

Ah well. It's their life now. Pah!

Just an update:

The Newman magazine featuring yours truly at one of the back pages is coming out in JULY! Not August okay. I got the wrong information, and the editor told me in the email he sent over containing my photoshoot picture that it'd be coming out in July.

Something bad happened yesterday.



Lazychoo's bike broke down and refused to start up. But the situation quickly turned into a good one because our rescuers turned up and turned the whole thing into a Northern Knights outing!

Seeing the whole thing turn into an event, how can the blogger in me refuse to whip out her camera? Seems like somebody else is as weird as me, carrying a camera wherever I go.



When big groups gather, especially on the island in the middle of the T-junction of AMK ave 1 and Lorong Chuan, we draw unwanted attention.



Kudos to the guy who copied many, many ICs at one go!

"Where's Lazychoo?"
"Gone to buy spark plug."



"Haven't come back ah?"

After Lazychoo came back with no spark plug (he couldn't find any)..

Lazychoo's bike was finally up after a couple of hours. But it kept dying in the middle of riding, so me, CK and Nick followed closely behind.

My own bike died on me too, and everyone had to help me push start my bike. CK's horn wasn't working either.

We got stopped by TP a second time, and after explaining about the situation he let us go. I didn't even bother taking photos, we were all just soooooo tired.

After awhile, Lazychoo and CK were in front when Nick's bike died on him.

Anyway, Daniel(this other Mito guy) had an accident today. It's like, WTF? This really isn't a week for riders, everybody's having so much problems together!

Something's wrong.

I came back home one day to find the kitty that Lazychoo caught for me hogging my bed.



He must've put it there before we went out. So sweet!

Here's an awfully heart-tugging photo (to me) of my precious baby.



The poor thing was made to put on this pair of shoes my grandma brought back for me from China. Not that I wear them anyway, I'm not into these kinda' shoes. Anyone wants them? Without the dog, of course.

Went for an Aprilian gathering one evening at Simpang Bedok. Normal-to-boring as usual. But we had our most happening outing ever that night; we gathered in the middle of TPE/SLE!



Well actually, bro Vik's bike died on him him while he was in the rightmost lane. And guess who went down to help?

These are a lot better than my first photoshoot. Not to mention the fact that I was out til 4 in the morning and I had to get up at 6.30am, so I think my performance wasn't too bad.

Was having dinner with Lazychoo at Long John's the other time.

Our conversation went normally until my mom sent me a photo of my grandparents and I showed it to him.

He said something wrong and it stung me so badly I started crying into my dinner.

He started apologising because he didn't know what actually happened, but I couldn't stop crying.

Silence.

We went out to the place where he parked his bike, and he extended his arms to hug me. It felt so comforting.

It lasted all of ... 3 seconds.

When he realized I wasn't holding a grudge, he let go and went smoking.

3 seconds. Maybe that's what I have to contend with for as long as we're together.

Ah well.

My cousin's wedding banquet happened on Vesak Day, 12th of May. We all went into "mad rush" mode right before going for the banquet.

I ate this on my father's cab.



And immediately regretted. The chocolate was nice but.. I felt like puking. Bad case of car-sickness I guess.

We were to give out about three to five of party crackers to each table lining the side of the red carpet that the couple was supposed to pass by. We did give them out, but saved exactly 10 for our table.



And we showered the couple with bangs and confetti when they walked in.

Profound thanks to Alan Him who came over to help me polish my bike on Wednesday before leading me to the shoot. God knows what I would've done without him. I'd probably get lost on the road for an hour looking for the exit to East Coast Park.

But anyways, he was entitled to the privilege of watching the shooting going on, and saw the photos first hand, so it was an even trade.

The writer of the column is Kenneth, a very friendly guy who was very sincere in doing the interview. He did a double take when I told him that Alan's the president of the Aprilia Riders Club, and told us that he's constantly looking for female riders and drivers to feature in his column. So girls, if you're interested, drop me a line and I'll hook you up.

During the shoot, the photographer had to upload the picture into his notebook every single time he took a shot, just so we could see how the effects came out. Alan took this opportunity to start snapping away.

The interview went on smoothly, basically we just sat there and chatted like normal friends. It went on for a little under 10 minutes, so we were able to rush off before the rain started.

Met up with my Aprilian brothers later on that day. Or should I say, mostly-ex-Aprilians-and-a-couple-who-still-ride-Aprilia. Most of them changed bikes except bro Vik, Alan, Dannis and Dex. Samuel and Andrew changed to waves, Ben's changed to a CBR150, and obviously the Aprilian mascot is still a Mito. It was a gathering of friends, not a formal ARC outing.

It was actually better than a formal ARC outing because everyone's so relaxed and the chit chatting were non-stop. I loved every moment of it.

I missed them guys. Those are my talk cock buddies and for a couple, people to whom I poured my heart out to. Hopefully there'll be more outings like that soon.

Just finished watching the movie Sha Po Lang (SPL) on VCD just now. Alone. Because. Someone. Fell. Asleep. While. Watching.

It's a totally AWESOME movie for wushu fanatics, cops/gangsters fanatics, and of course, Donnie Yen fanatics like me.

Did I tell you I once swore to marry him someday? Okay, I was young then, but I still want to marry him. The irony is, his new daughter's name is Jasmine too. Argh!



What I found interesting in the show is this newcomer in the Hong Kong movie industry.

Jing Wu



Okay, so he's not new in the industry, but this is the first big movie he's in, so there.

He's always been acting minor parts, cheekily running about cracking jokes here and there, I never expected him to be China's wushu champion! (note: fact not confirmed because blogger too lazy to confirm). I was amazed by his skills and speed at his showdown with Donnie Yen.

In short, this show is TOTALLY AWESOME. Pity I didn't watch the movie in a cinema, I'd be swooning away in the cinema seat (not that I wasn't swooning in my bed while watching the VCD). Get the VCD, no, get the DVD guys, this one's a classic must-have in your DVD collection.
